Welcome to SoloUp ("App", "we", "our", "us"). SoloUp is a productivity app that helps users define and achieve long-term goals by structuring them into monthly milestones and weekly tasks. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the App. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with international data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), India's DPDP Act, and others.

By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Who We Are

SoloUp is developed and operated by SoloUp, based in India. We act as the Data Controller for your information under applicable data protection laws.

3. What Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

• Phone number (for login and authentication)
• Name and profile photo (user-entered)
• Goal descriptions, milestones, tasks, notes (user-generated content)

B. Information Automatically Collected

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• IP address
• App usage behaviour (e.g. screens visited, session time)
• Crash reports and diagnostics

C. Photos & Camera Access

If granted permission, the App may access your:

• Device camera (e.g. for profile photos)
• Photo gallery (for optional profile use)

D. Third-Party Services

• OpenAI: Your goal description is sent to OpenAI to generate milestone and task suggestions if you opt for the AI feature.
• Google Firebase (Crashlytics): For performance, bug tracking, and crash monitoring.
• Google Analytics: To understand app usage and improve features.

(We do not collect your financial information. All purchases are securely handled through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.)

E. Contact Information

If you grant permission, the App may access your phone’s contact list to check which of your contacts are registered on SoloUp. This allows us to:

• Show you which contacts are using SoloUp
• Display their goals if they have made them public or shared them with you specifically

Contact information is used only for matching within SoloUp and is never sold or used for marketing purposes.

4. Use of Artificial Intelligence (OpenAI)

When you opt to use our AI-generated milestone and task feature, your goal input is securely transmitted to OpenAI, a third-party artificial intelligence service.

We strive to offer helpful planning suggestions. However, please note:

All AI-generated suggestions are produced by OpenAI's models based on the data you provide. These outputs are not verified or endorsed by SoloUp, and we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any particular purpose.

We encourage users to evaluate the AI-generated content thoughtfully and adjust according to their own judgment. For more information, refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to other users or unaffiliated third parties. We may share limited information with:

• OpenAI (if you use the AI feature): Goal input only.
• Google Firebase Crashlytics: For crash and error monitoring.
• Google Analytics: For usage analysis.
• App Stores (Google/Apple): To facilitate purchases.
• Authorities or legal bodies, if required by law.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your own, including the United States (OpenAI, Google). These transfers are made with adequate safeguards, such as:

• Standard Contractual Clauses (for EU/UK users)
• Data processing agreements with third-party vendors

8. Data Retention

• Your data is retained for the lifetime of your account.
• Upon account deletion, your data is held for 14 days to allow reactivation via the same email ID.
• After 14 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems and cannot be recovered.

We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:

• Secure authentication using phone number

Despite best practices, no system is 100% secure. Users are advised to use the app with discretion.

11. Children's Privacy

SoloUp is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that a child has created an account, we will delete the data.

Parents or guardians may contact us at support@soloup.in to request deletion of their child's information.

12. In-App Purchases

SoloUp offers optional AI-based features through in-app purchases:

• ₹49 for goals up to 6 months
• ₹149 for goals up to 2 years
• Upgrade from 6-month to 2-year plan for ₹99

All transactions are processed via Google Play and Apple App Store. We do not store or access your payment or card details.

13. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use cookies or web-based trackers. We do not display ads or track behavior across websites.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App. Please review the "Last Updated" date to stay informed.

Your continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
